Dan was born in Worksop U.K in 1970, an area in Nottinghamshire but now lives in Canada. he's mainly known for death metal cover art like Morbid Angel's "Altar of Madness", not an album that I enjoy but this is about covers art not my (terrible) taste in music.

Bal-Sagoth - The Power Cosmic - 1999

This blog is meant to be a platform to all the bands who play epic, battle metal, and it doesn't get much more epic than the Yorkshire natives Bal-Sagoth with their end of the century effort, Power Cosmic.
If you don't know them yet, do yourself a favour and get it now.
Are they black or power metal ? I don't know and I don't care as they are a fucking amazing band.
One of a kind if there was ever anyone who deserved that title, plus Bal-Sagoth claim to be inspired by Robert E. Howard, my favourite writer as far as epic and battles go. Not to mention that they were sponsored by some swords manufacturer...As I said, nothing is more epic than this.
